We have an immediate opportunity for a VP of Operations for our Wayne, NJ location.This position will haveoverall responsibility for site Manufacturing to deliver products to customers on time, applying defined product quality requirements and optimizing production costs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Seeks and recommends new machinery and methods to improve operations and to reduce costs.
Establishes annual business plan.
Prepares long range (two to five year) business plans, covering strategies, production processes, capacities, systems, personnel and budgets.
Ensures procedures necessary to produce and ship orders conform to ISO quality system, Company policies and government regulations.
Ensures procedures are communicated to personnel.
Keeps current on new machinery and processes.
Advises sales administration promptly and at least weekly on lead time changes and status of new orders.
Adjust production plans to conform to revised sales forecasts and communicates effect.
Communicates and obtains Company reports to derive information beneficial to manufacturing operations.
Ensures materials specifications are maintained current.
Conveys an atmosphere of manufacturing competence, reliability and quality to visitors.
Handle special tasks and projects as requested in order to meet company objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
B.S. degree required in science or engineering.
Minimum of ten years in fragrance/flavor production, at least 5 years in management.
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Computer literate with knowledge of Windows software.
Knowledge of MRP, compounding systems and production equipment, such as auto-compounding units, auto-dispensing lines, conveyor auto-filling systems and bar coding.
Oral and Written Communication Skills.
Understands sales and marketing challenges.
