GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Manager will direct the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

•Receives assignments based on incremental objectives and defined processes.

•Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and/or manufacturing execution systems (MES)

•Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.

•Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees.

•Recommends changes to sub-unit, unit or discipline policies.

•Takes actions to monitor and manage costs related to a section.

•Adaptable to changing priorities and needs

•Ability to develop and manage schedules using the appropriate tools/software (i.e. MS Project).

•Provide weekly updates to production schedules internal and external customers

•Works on issues requiring the analysis of data, relevant factors and resolves problems.

•Exercises judgment and interpretation to help define procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.

•Develops and manages routine operational plans.

•Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will cause delays in schedules.

•Meets targets against a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly plan.

•Interacts with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups.

•Interaction requires interpreting and explaining information to audiences familiar with the subject.

•Gains cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or programs.

•Provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributors (e.g., technicians, lab assistants, designers, support personnel).

•Acts as guide to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems.

•Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position has supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

•Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties, including computer skills.

•Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.

•Experience working with ERP/MRP systems

•Communicate and interact effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.

•Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including, for example training, reviewing, and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment, and changes, and more.

•Adhere to IS09001 and AS9100 or similar quality management system (QMS) requirements

•Operates with a sense of urgency and takes a pro-active approach to problem solving

•Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions, procedures, and blueprints

•Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

•Ability to maintain knowledge, skills, and abilities as it pertains to your job.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or, a minimum of 9 years of equivalent work experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•Manufacturing environment / workbench or workstation.

•Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.

•Ability to perform repetitive motion
