The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our complex physical and cloud-based infrastructure to ensure it operates efficiently, securely, and reliably. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies with a strong attention to detail. This individual will work with business leaders, managed services personnel and customers to create scalable and secure technology solutions across the enterprise. Responsibilities Collaborate with the security and architecture functions to design and plan solutions that are secure and scalable
Lead the deployment and configuration of infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud resources
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning and management
Recommend and implement security best practices to safeguard company data
Monitor ongoing system performance and make recommendations for improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
Evaluate usage patterns to forecast resource needs for scalability and cost-effectiveness
Participate in incident management and resolution activities, collaborating with other IT and business resources to minimize downtime and service disruption
Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security, software development, and support, to deliver integrated solutions
Manage relationships with technology vendors and evaluate new solutions and technologies for adoption
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
10 or more years of experience in Technology
Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies
Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized and ability to work independently
Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus
