Job Description Job Description ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT
Duties Include:
Working assistant superintendent; superior skill/understanding levels in carpentry and/or handiwork
Reviewing permitted drawings, designer drawings, and implementing direction in the field on site.
Ability to take direction from management and then lead jobsite accordingly
Able to instruct our internal field personnel for self-performed duties on the project
Understanding of each subcontracted trade to field questions and provide instructions on site based upon the project data provided.
Ability to identify potential issues pertaining to existing conditions that do not match up with the design intent.
Strong leadership skills overall
Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Tracking project progress using iPad applications such as: Plangrid, Smartsheet, and Quickbooks Time.
Detail oriented, logical, and methodical approach to problem solving
Able to respond to changing priorities while continuing to maintain attention to detail
Restaurant and bar build-out experience a plus but not necessary
Review, update, and execute all project schedules for internal and external project teams with project manager
Has great foresight in regards to constructability, process, assembly, and methodology for a project
Able to accurately report “current percent complete” of a given task, based on experience
Reviews all time-cards for field personnel on a daily basis, adding supervisory notes
Produces a daily report
Is accountable for all schedules, tasks, efforts, and direction, as provided by upper management
Takes notes for every discussion/decision accurately from upper management, project management, clients, etc. pertaining to the job; note taking is non-negotiable
Open & Close daily; fully responsible for the security of the jobsite
Monitoring and enforcement of Company Protocols, Procedures, & Policies including but not limited to: attendance, etiquette, uniforms, breaks, etc.
Issuing employee write-ups as necessary
Host on-site Jump-Off meeting covering: safety requirements, daily tasks, assignments with line items, etc.
Submits “crew requests” for upcoming tasks in a timely fashion
Coordinate equipment & material deliveries with project manager & operations manager
Required Job Qualifications:
Carpentry skills. Must be able to step in and assist production
Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Attention to detail is a must
Reliable and responsible
Technologically proficient; Will be required to use company issued iPad daily, including managing the project schedule via Smartsheet and Plangrid, and QuickBooksTime
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
Must be available by cell phone throughout the day
Must have a smart phone with a data plan that is not limiting for this position
Commitment to performing each job with safety in mind
Ability to manage sub-contractors and internal employees on the job site
Must be legally eligible to work in the United States (proof of eligibility will be required upon offer of employment)
Must pass a drug-test, background check, and physical exam prior to employment
Must carry themselves with a high professional standard
Work Conditions:
Jobsite and office-based position
Some travel will be required to various project sites and office locations within San Diego County
Able to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time

This is a full-time, permanent position with an starting hourly wage of $34.00 - $39.00 per hour DOE, with bonus potential
