Our partner is looking for a Resource Management Consultant in Columbus, OH. This role involves focusing on the firm's critical business needs, including administrative support and scheduling client engagements. The position emphasizes flexibility and balance while maintaining a principally in-person model. Responsibilities
Initiate and facilitate regular assessments with managers for upcoming assignments, scheduling needs, and capacity evaluations
Manage the staffing/scheduling process for the office/region and department
Collaborate with office leadership to achieve office utilization goals and meet industry group mix requirements
Update data in the scheduling system to reflect accurate assignments
Create scheduling system reports to aid in resource allocation decisions
Assist Talent Deployment Manager in reporting on and evaluating tax/assurance utilization
Monitor assurance/tax staff hours and schedules
Work with Talent Deployment Manager and firm leadership to achieve utilization goals across practice roles
Address utilization matters with office and firm leadership
Mediate conflicts and resolve resource needs within the office/region
Communicate potential staffing issues and provide information for effective resource deployment
Assign staff to engagements to ensure balanced workloads
Promote and monitor the sharing of resources region-wide and firm-wide
Participate in scheduling meetings at the office, region, and firm levels
Requirements
1-3 years of experience in a professional services/public accounting firm in tax, audit, or scheduling roles
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field preferred
Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Project management skills to meet milestones, make decisions, and monitor databases
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to perform against tight deadlines
Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively
Self-motivated with a team-oriented approach
Expert-level skills with MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to coordinate information flow with multiple sources
Technical aptitude to understand system infrastructure and improve processes
Strong supervision and organizational skills
Effective time management and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
