It's clear to us that Unwell is a Gen Z community; elevating relevant voices to create or curate thoughtful content and conversation. The point is that from there the possibilities are literally endless - new talent, shows, verticals, live events, markets, consumer products, apparel, etc and, each potential route requires brand leadership.
Unwell's Head of Brand Marketing will own arguably the most valuable asset we have - our identity. They are not just a brand champion, but a proven storyteller who creates emotional connections with the community that simultaneously are organically monetizable. The same mission holds true for our brand extensions and partners ranging from developing Alix Earle's Hot Mess to a Big Al's activation with the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs to expanding our international reach as Alex Cooper produces new experiences with NBC at the Paris Olympics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Building valuable partnerships - Sounds easy, but you know it's not. With so much inbound and opportunity who we partner with and what we do defines our brands as much as anything else.
Creating and executing marketing campaigns - Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and events.
Developing and implementing brand strategies - Create strategies that align with the company's goals, values, and target audience. Develop plans to increase brand awareness, perception, and loyalty.
Managing the brand's visual identity - Ensures brand's visual identity is consistent across all brand touchpoints; including logos, color schemes, typography, decks, and design elements.
Qualifications and Required Experience
We are a creative-driven company. Fundamental to this role is to be a proactive creative leader who can conceptualize / communicate ideas and successfully execute upon the vision on deadline / budget.
A successful track record of bringing consumer-focused products or brands to market.
Minimum of 8+ years prior experience in brand marketing in a relevant industry
Deep interest and experience in social media platforms and creating culturally iconic campaigns that engage Gen Z
Ability to interact with c-level executives, talent, sponsors, and most importantly our community
And, of course, troubleshooting, deadlines, team building, detail-oriented, communication skills, risk taking, etc
Bachelor's degree required
