Research Coordinator (temporary)

Expectations/Required Duties The primary purpose of your appointment is to provide study support to the SAIA-MOUD study funded by the NIH/NINR and the Rita and Alex Hillman Foundation. The SAIA-MOUD study will design, implement, and evaluate a systems analysis and improvement approach to improve implementation and linkage of medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) care services for people with opioid use disorder in King County jails and exit to referral clinics in Washington state.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support donor coordination (10%)

Support our responsive engagement with the NIH (NINR), the Rita and Alex Hillman foundation and potentially additional donors and stakeholders. This may include the development of periodic presentations and regular updating of website content.

Coordinate data collection activities in the field (60%) SAIA-MOUD:

Work with the UW, King County Correctional Facilities, local MOUD referral sites (Office based Opioid Treatment, Pathways Clinic, Sound Health), related community-based organizations, and multi-disciplinary study team, co-Investigators, and government (county and statewide) agencies to:

Support use of the EPIC system to track SUD+ patients initiating MOUD, including both paper and tablet-based tools.

Support structural readiness and organizational readiness assessments.

Support development and implementation of the SAIA-MOUD training tools in the study sites.

Support efforts to disseminate results and findings of the study.

Support qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. Work with the study team to develop and refine forms and program the Excel tablet-based data collection tools in coordination with the data quality team. Periodically provide ongoing written summary of results to share with the team and external stakeholders. Coordinate study team training and monitoring activities with guidance from PI. Produce monthly reports for PI and study team.

Support development of related training materials Manuscripts, presentations, and communications (20%)

Schedule and coordinate weekly/ monthly team meetings and calls.

Contribute to manuscripts in development.

Contribute to development related/ associated applications.

Coordinate site specific engagement in training opportunities and participation in conferences to present results.

Administration and operations (10%)

Coordinate travel related to SAIA-MOUDSOW SAIA-MOUD Research Coordinator

Organize agenda for regular study meetings and site visits (including for research team, sites, supervisors, and Community Advisory Boards)

Organize catering and other meeting support costs.

Coordinate reimbursements for study participants

Support IRB modifications as needed at the UW and state level.

Manage and maintain google shared drive.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1-3 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

MPH/MA/MS, Experience working with incarcerated populations. Experience working with populations with substance use disorders.

Experience working with community-based diversion programs.

Excellent writing and communication skills Knowledge of EPIC, Redcap, Excel, SQL, and other computer programs Facilitation / training experience.

Experience adapting and refining training curricula.
