BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The position will work with key stakeholders to increase operational efficiencies and streamline existing processes as well as implement new business strategies and processes. The position will initiate system requests as directed and coordinate user testing and implementation. The position creates and maintains reports and dashboards of metrics/KPIs across the entire supply chain.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
Mentors and trains all new hires into the department.
Analyzes performance reports and procedures for the Parts Department including but not limited to warehouse operations, transportation, sales and marketing, purchasing, management, accounting, and technical data.
Troubleshoot escalated questions in SAP, provide recommendations for improved system processes, and perform user acceptance testing on new or improved procedures.
Develops insights regarding productivity, quality, operational costs, and customer satisfaction.
Analyzes and identifies opportunities for improving business processes and efficiencies.
Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users, PMO, IT, consultants, and others in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems to ensure optimal performance that meets business requirements.
Defines and documents BI team business functions and processes.
Reads and interprets functional/technical literature and translates in terms understandable to the end-users.
Conducts change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes.
Documents risks, business rules, functions, and requirements.
Leads reviews of new and existing programs, procedures, and projects to validate improvement opportunities, identify and manage risks, and resolve problem.
Develops information system documentation to support efficient operations.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a supply chain related disciplines such as Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering preferred:
In lieu of a degree 7-10 years of analytical experience in logistics or related fields required.
With a degree at least 5 years of experience required.
4+ years of experience building dashboards in Power BI required.
Experience building dashboards in Power BI using DAX
Experience with SAP modules with an emphasis on EWM preferred.
Experience building reports using SAS.
Experience building queries in relational databases.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, power pivots, charts, etc.).
Familiarity with service parts including warehouse operations, sales and marketing, purchasing, forecasting and inventory planning, and distribution philosophies.
Project management experience. Lean skills and experience (TPS, Six Sigma) is required.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
