POSITION SUMMARY: The Business Intelligence Coordinator role is a full-time position that is responsible for assisting with the research and data story telling of all USYS related/requested items with a primary emphasis across our 54-member State Association. Duties include working with each State Association to interpret, analyze, and report on player, coach and team data on a consistent basis while providing ongoing feedback with the primary focus of helping all State Associations understand, retain, and ultimately grow their membership. The Business Intelligence Coordinator reports to the General Manager of Member Services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in extracting data from various sources to create reports, dashboards and presentations for USYS stakeholders.
Link various data sets to perform target-based reporting that will provide useful and relevant information to assist in identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, etc.
Market research for state associations on player registration data, census information and other population related analytics to assist in growth of soccer across the country.
Knowledge and usage of one or more industry analytics visualization tools.
Ensure data is stored efficiently and securely and can be easily accessed for analysis.
General understanding of programs and operations of US Youth Soccer and our 54 state associations.
Any other duties as specifically requested by the Senior Manager of Member Services.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Excel in managing multiple projects concurrently with strong detail, attention to detail, problem solving and follow-through.
Experience with data querying or modeling.
Experience with building and maintaining basic data artifacts including automations and dashboards.
Outstanding computer skills with high level expertise in CRM and Microsoft applications
Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design.
Prior work experience with youth soccer or other youth sports administration is desirable.
Ability to work independently.
Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, multi-task, and resolve matters effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in math, finance, accounting, economics, or a quantitative field required with three (3) years of experience using programs to create and analyze data.
COMPENSATION: A competitive salary and benefits package will be made available to qualified candidates. This is a full-time position, based in Frisco, TX, though we’re open to remote work.
