Job Description

We are actively looking for an IT Engineer to join a growing and dynamic defense contractor. This engineer will be supporting a large lab environment focused on testing radar missile defense systems. This team is responsible for maintaining and testing the radar equipment and components during various phases in development. We are looking for three engineers to support the lab. These candidates will be responsible for receivers, exciters, arrays, antennas, RF equipment, test equipment, network switches, servers, etc. We are looking for candidates that come from an IT background, specifically with network equipment, routers and switches OR a linux server administration background. Daily tasks include, but are not limited to maintaining equipment, setting up test equipment, working alongside system engineers to configure test environments, configuring and maintaining network switches for tests, analyzing switch data and logs for optimization, configuring and maintaining x86/unix servers of the radar, maintaining operation plans for the lab, managing assets in the lab environments, and performing calibration tests. The lab is utilized by around 300 engineers testing and integrating software and hardware components on new and existing radar products. This is a long term opportunity working alongside engineers to enhance and develop cutting edge radar missile defense systems!

55-65/HR.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

- 6+ years System Administrator with both Windows and Linux servers

- ServiceNow

- Patch Management experience using Windows WSUS version 3 or later to include importing patches and metadata syncing patches to provide a consistent environment.

- Active Directory Management experience: managing and troubleshooting GPO's, DNS, TCP/IP, and DHCP

- Experience tuning and troubleshooting system performance

- Hands - on keyboard role with troubleshooting mindset

- Must be solid with LDAP, DNS and networking

- Experience with VMware/VDI/esx

- Understanding of Storage Area Network concepts (SAN) - CCNA or any IT related certifications null
