Job Description
Wanted: An experienced VMware Engineer with demonstrated experience in designing and developing solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions. Expertise in the design and deploymentof large enterprise server virtualization solutions.
As a VMware Engineer , you will:

A week in the life of a VMware Engineer :
Manage storage, virtualization, and Azure teams comprised of direct reports.
Manage a vSphere environment comprised of ESXi hosts across sites, hosting thousands of VMs.
Manage Enterprise Storage in data center and diverse storage devices at many sites.
Manage VMs IaaS and various PaaS offerings such as Azure AD.
Provision, configure and decommission virtual machines.
Upgrade VMware environment from obsolete vSphere 5.5 to current vSphere 6.7U2.
Manage dedicated ESX vSphere environments.
Architect iSCSI gigabit network for VMware ESX cluster.
Engineer deployment and management of VMware ESXi clusters and MD3000i iSCSI SAN.
Guide multiple teams within the company to repair the failing VDI environment and set in place an end-user support structure.
Implement security parameters for vCenter, VM Templates and Host.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. Job Requirements Required: a minimum of 7 years of recent and relevant experience.
Required certification: VMware Certified Professiona.
Preferred education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information technology management or a related field.
Other preferred certifications: VMware Certified Professional, MCSA, MCITP, MCTS.
Previous Transportation Security Administration (TSA) personnel clearance preferred but not required.
Prior experience with and knowledge of TSA’s mission priorities, systems, and applications preferred but not required.
Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to coordinate across large groups of people at multiple levels.
