Our team is currently looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to join our 2nd shift. This is a fabulous opportunity for a knowledgeable, hardworking food scientist to apply his or her skills in our production facility located in Baltimore City, Maryland.
As a Quality Control Supervisor, you'll oversee various aspects of quality control, compliance Your duties will include audit training implementation, product sample control, sanitation supervision, and potentially serving in leadership roles across different teams. Flexibility in adapting to production schedules, familiarity with regulatory requirements, and experience in food manufacturing or related fields are crucial for success in this role.
Minimum Requirements
Job Duties:
Working with standard lab equipment, taking environmental swabs, enforcing SSOPs, and GMP's. Overseeing the Quality Control and sanitation department. Solving QC related problems, communicating issues to Quality Control Managers, working with the USDA inspector.
Training:
Oversees and implements all training programs ranging from basic GMPs to HACCP to SQF requirements.
Requirements:
2 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or related field
Ability to adapt to fast-paced production schedules
Flexibility to work in refrigerated environments for extended periods of time
Second shift position with flexibility for first shift if required
Physical Requirements
Due to refrigeration that is required for the products, most room temperatures are maintained at a temperature between 28 degrees (F) and 34 degrees (F), therefore candidates must be able to work in this environment constantly throughout the shift (8+ hours per day)
Constant exposure to raw meat products
Due to constant spillage and sanitation, floors are slippery when wet
Preferred Requirements:
HACCP certifications
USDA experience in compliance and regulatory
Prior experience in high-volume premium meat operations
Bachelor's degree in relevant fields
Proficiency in MS office applications
