JOB SUMMARY

Program Director (PD) supports all operations and services of Targeted Prevention Programming (TPP) for DCYF (Division for Children, Youth, & Families) involved services and Community Navigator services both are programs of Granite Pathways. The PD position is funded by federal, state, and private grants/donors to support TPP activities throughout the state of New Hampshire (NH). The PD supports the work of the collective organization in working with key sectors of the community (education, business, government, health, public safety, community supports, etc.) to advance the strategic initiatives of TPP. The PD will need and develop a unique set of skills and abilities to be effective across a broad range of responsibilities.

The PD shall be a parent (mother or father) with knowledge of the Child Welfare system and an understanding of how that system works as well as experience with supporting staff and clients within behavioral health. The PD shall have shown exceptional qualities in his/her own efforts or have a history of supporting other parents to develop viable permanency plans for their children. The PD must be a life-trained paraprofessional that can offer a wealth of knowledge and experience to served families and hired staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

+ Responsible for supervising TPP field staff, mentors, and supervisors.

+ Development, implementation, and oversight of all TPP peer services.

+ The ability to work closely with Granite Pathways and Fedcap’s Executive team.

+ Directly supporting and connecting to the mission, vision and core values of Granite Pathways and Fedcap Companies.

+ Developing and maintaining a statewide network of community stakeholders to establish and maintain a strategic peer service organizational framework.

+ Contributing to the successful implementation of the TPP strategic plan.

+ Supporting the Director to coordinate activities and execute TPP work plans.

+ Submitting monthly and quarterly evaluations and budget reporting to funding agencies as needed.

+ Coordinating logistical support for program implementation, including but not limited to scheduled activities, trainings, workshops, and events.

+ Attending meetings or public events as requested.

+ Working with Granite Pathways’ corporate resources, developing key social marketing and collateral materials for strategic messaging and building audiences across the state.

+ Engaging in billable peer recovery support services, as needed and/or appropriate, and maintaining accurate and up to date documentation as required for billing of services.

+ Reviewing and responding promptly, accurately and professionally to inquiries made through email.

+ Supporting the Executive Director in the achievement of quarterly and annual community programming goals.

+ Actively participating and engaging in the communities served as a positive face and voice of peer services for families, stakeholders, funders and other community partners using appropriate language, messaging and reinforcement of our core values.

+ All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Job Experience

+ Bachelor’s degree, or significant demonstrated experience with a minimum of 1-3 years in addiction field, social policy, social work, criminal justice, marketing and communications, public health, or related field.

+ Close familiarity with local recovery community.

+ Knowledge of family court process.

+ Experience with evidenced-based parenting skills curriculum.

+ Experience with Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health Services and Child Welfare system (lived or professional).

+ MS office intermediate skills in Word, Excel, and Office 365.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

+ Working knowledge of State funded systems and support for both children and families.

+ Working knowledge of a variety of addiction recovery modalities and ability to articulate the delivery of multiple pathways.

+ Ability to work with diverse populations, demonstrating cultural competency and community awareness.

+ Ability to consider and incorporate diverse perspectives, while brokering positive relationships

+ Ability to adapt approach, style, and methods to best engage and empower community partners.

+ Ability to clearly articulate succinctly purpose, goals, and objective both verbally and in writing in a manner that invites community and stakeholder involvement.

+ Ability to listen and integrate community stakeholder feedback and recommendations.

+ Demonstrated competence with event planning.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

+ Ability to implement, track, follow through, and meet grant deadlines and obligations, including report writing and submissions.

+ Ability to work autonomously within established framework.

+ Ability to demonstrate proficiency in maintaining a safe place, consistent with the TPP mission and vision for staff, members and volunteers that is both trauma informed and displays and models ethical and healthy boundaries in and outside of the recovery community centers.

+ Excellent communication, organizational, planning and time management skills.

+ Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills.

+ Ability to work a flexible schedule,

+ Ability to maintain confidentiality of information learned in the course of the work,

+ Demonstrated skill in promotions using social media (website development a plus)

+ Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel, Publisher) with the ability to learn new applications.

+ Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive information.

+ Maintains current driver's license.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day.
