Job Summary:
The QA technician role is to ensure the daily monitoring of company policies and procedures relating to: Food Safety, Food Security, Quality Assurance Programs, SSOP, GMP, and SOP's.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Conducts Pre-Op when necessary.
+ Monitor Tsunami (PAA) levels ex. Chill tank, dicer, bin waters.
+ Monitor Metal Detectors and perform bag seals, container seal checks.
+ Check Product Quality and Julian dates on finished product.
+ Perform spot checks on but not limited to packed products in boxes, foreign object in containers, COO.
+ Develop site specific paperwork i.e. logs, checklists, etc.
+ Perform other HACCP related monitoring such as: Monitor Ambient Temperatures of Processing Rooms, Raw Meat Storage, Receiving, Dry Good Areas.
+ Prepare and Monitor Hand Dips and Foot Baths.
Education Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Some Knowledge of food processing and quality programs.
Experience Required:
At least 2 years production experience
Technical Skills and Abilities:
+ Must be able to effectively perform in a multi-tasking environment with frequent interruptions.
+ Able to work in a group setting.
+ Able to work alone.
+ Strong organization and active listening skills.
+ Communication skills both written and verbal
+ Computer Literate
Physical Demands:
