Longhorn Organizing Strategies is a new, Texas-based grassroots organizing and voter mobilization firm that provides best-in-class canvassing, voter registration, and relational organizing services to progressive campaigns, committees and advocacy organizations throughout the Lone Star state. Position Title: Statewide Program Director
Reporting Structure: Reports to company leadership
Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $96,000, depending on experience and skill sets
Job Classification: Full-time, exempt
Schedule: Full-time (40 or more hours per week, and can reach 70+ hours at peak times)
Location: Applicants must be based in Texas and will require extensive travel throughout the state

Position Summary
Longhorn Organizing Strategies is seeking talented, driven individuals for the role of Statewide Program Director who will be responsible for managing canvassing programs across the Lone Star state in 2024. The Statewide Program Director will directly manage all members of their respective project team, including Operations Directors, Regional Program Directors, Regional Office Directors, Canvass Managers, and Operations Associates.
The Statewide Program Director will be a member of the company’s leadership team, and will work with other leaders to develop high-quality, innovative canvassing programs for a broad, diverse set of clients and partners, and will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation and management of those programs.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and manage the day-to-day activities of the project teams, overseeing all aspects of hiring, training, and team member accountability.
Cultivate an inclusive culture that fosters learning and professional growth for every team member.
Supervise the planning, execution, and performance of each project, emphasizing the delivery of high-quality, cost-efficient results.
Maintain close communication and engagement with client stakeholders in partnership with Longhorn leadership.
Ensure adherence to reporting and accountability protocols, delivering up-to-date, actionable data and information to campaign leadership.
As needed, travel to project sites to inspect and review project operations, training and provide in-person management of employees
Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
4-7 years of experience in personnel and organizational management
Proven experience in managing and leading comprehensive, state-level programs and projects that require extensive organizing, operations, and client relationship management.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
Ability and willingness to work a demanding schedule, which can reach 70+ hours per week at peak times and can be expected to include evenings and weekends.
Must possess a cell phone and laptop.
Must have ready access to personal transportation and will be required to provide proof of driver’s insurance.
Must be able to travel and/or relocate to project locations across the state on short notice; travel, lodging, and other related expenses are provided by the company.
Proficiency in Spanish.

Highly organized, with the ability to actively manage project goals and operations with the ability to multitask without compromising the quality of work.
Proven ability to anticipate challenges and troubleshoot issues proactively.
Excellent written, verbal, and facilitation skills
Capable of motivating and managing a diverse group of staff
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and external organizations.
Familiarity with Google Suite and VAN is preferred.
Essential Physical Requirements
This position may entail other travel.
This position requires vision/hearing abilities.
