Responsibilities:
* Support Hotels & Hospitality team members with functions related to business development, marketing active mandates and closing real estate transactions.
* Ability to analyze financial statements, STR reports, booking pace data and other documents salient to creating and/or reviewing hotel valuation models
* Apply Uniform System of Accounts for Hotels to raw financial data.
* Independently complete asset valuations using discounted cash flow, income capitalization, leveraged IRR, comparable sales and construction cost techniques.
* Evaluate and apply value enhancement strategies for underwriting purposes under the supervision of senior team members.
* Collect and effectively present qualitative and quantitative information supporting the transaction process.
* Prepare presentations, offering materials and miscellaneous reports independently as well as with junior team members.
* Review legal documents, agreements, licenses, third-party engineering/environmental reports and miscellaneous documentation relevant to the transaction process.
* Effectively articulate conclusions surrounding the aforementioned analyses with clients and investors, working in coordination with the senior team, to secure mandates, execute on active listings and consummate the closing of real estate transactions.
* Review work performed by analysts and providing mentorship/coaching to help junior team members develop both soft and technical skills
Qualifications:
* 5-7 years financial/real estate transaction experience.
* BA/BS degree in Business Finance, Hotel Administration and/or Real Estate Finance
* Strong record of professional and academic achievement
* Demonstrated quantitative skills
* Hospitality-industry specific work experience preferred
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently while also maintaining rapport and mentoring junior team members
* Ability to work within formal reporting relationships
* Flexibility to work after normal business hours and on weekends as needed
* Advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
* Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
* Ability to travel domestically
