What does the Experitec Solutions Architect role look like?

The Solutions Architect (Automation, Controls, Industrial) is a part of our Inside Sales organization and is the lead technical resource in the development of systems hardware and software solutions to our customers. This role will work with our Remote Automation Solutions (RAS), Reliability and Process Systems & Solutions (PSS) departments and products. Our customers are largely manufacturing facilities and we serve many different industries including chemical, power generation, refining, oil & gas, food & beverage, pulp &paper, and water.

What is the Solutions Architect responsible for?

In this role, you will work with customers and internal resources to understand the technical application needs of the customer and address them with a blend of our hardware and software offerings to create an effective solution to their requirements. You will learn the capabilities of all Emerson Automation Solutions and third-party products in order to provide a solution. You will work with customers on technical specifications and provide comments regarding acceptance, exception, or clarifications to those specifications. The prime objective of this role is to architect and quote system solutions that generate the targeted results and satisfaction for our customers.

Typical work assignments include:

Provide knowledge of customer applications and knowledge of RAS, Reliability and PSS products and services to provide automation solutions to customers.

Proactively communicates quotation activity with Account Managers, Project Pursuit Leads, and Sales Management.

Collaborate with the team to develop the best hardware and software product solution for success.

Draft proposal documents for the team including Bill of Materials, supporting comments, and System Architecture Drawings.

Collaborate with Sales, Order Execution, Warehousing, and Engineering to develop and deliver value to our customers.

Effectively recommend, propose, and provide complete automation solutions to our customers.

Achieve technical knowledge depth in the hardware and software products and services we deploy at the customer site.

Actively participate in project pursuit teams to provide technical knowledge and leadership for individual opportunities.

Develop a rapport with our fellow associates as a team to get the job done.

Who can do this job?

Basic qualifications include: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Work, PowerPoint, etc.) and ability to work efficiently and effectively within a business system.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Leadership ability.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Analytical and critical thinking.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Other preferred attributes/skills: Bachelor's degree or 5 years of working knowledge and experience with data entry into a business system.

Previous customer service experience.

This position requires a hands-on approach, a strong work ethic, ability to adapt in a fast-paced customer first environment, and a commitment to excellence.
