Basic Job Functions:
The Level 1 Automation Engineer provides support to the steel making process by working closely with Operations and Maintenance teammates to safely troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and upgrade electrical and automation equipment. Minimum Qualifications:
+ 3 to 5 years of industrial process automation experience with applicable degree or equivalent industrial process automation experience without applicable degree.
+ Hands-on experience with PLC technologies and ladder logic.
+ Hands-on experience with HMI technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Four year Automation, Electrical or equivalent Engineering Degree or equivalent work experience in automation and controls.
+ Three to five years industrial automation experience in Rolling, Melting, or Casting.
+ Drives experience.
+ Project Management experience with system integration.
+ Allen Bradley experience.
+ Wonderware experience.
