Our thought-forward, Big Data team is working on a number of data architecture and software-solution projects. You will join this high-caliber team as a Technical Consultant who will work with our clients to implement software-based solutions to fit their needs.
Job Description:
As a Lead Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the technology that powers our offering. We're looking for someone with the engineering experience to build and iterate quickly with minimal guidance, who is comfortable working cross-functionally to set the technical strategy and roadmap. This role is for someone who is excited about the early stage and passionate about solving real health challenges with Generative AI technology. This role reports to the Chief Product Officer.
What you will do
Work on engineering roadmap by translating the product roadmap and vision into technical requirements, with an eye to the future goals
Efficiently build systems that are scalable, maintainable, and secure
Collaborate with Product to ensure that engineering efforts align with the business goals
Be the internal lead resource for the Engineering vendors with the opportunity to mentor internal Software Engineers as the team grows
Support build vs. buy decision making
Wear many hats, act as an individual contributor, mentor, collaborator, and innovator
What you will need
5+ years of software development experience building mobile + web applications, with a minimum of two years of experience in a 0-1 product environment
2+ years of experience building healthcare patient & provider workflow products; robust experience with EMR/EHR integrations
2+ years of experience leveraging AI technologies to advance application development and outcomes; experience applying AI in a healthcare setting
Experience with relational databases, data modeling, and data management tools such as SQL and/or Postgres
Experience managing and working with external Engineering teams
What you bring to the table
You have hands-on, full-stack coding expertise, particularly with our core technology stack: Angular, Node.js, and Python, as well as a solid foundation in JavaScript and TypeScript
You are technically expert in system design & architecture
You're fluent in software development best practices, including testing, code reviews, and continuous integration and delivery
You have a solid understanding of FHIR standards and implementing interoperable solutions in the healthcare space to ensure seamless data exchange across systems
