We are currently seeking an Accounting Team Manager in Charlotte for one of our client account teams. Our Accounting Team Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting and reporting functions for the account and serves as a key contact for client finance personnel. The ideal candidate will be based in Charlotte and have the opportunity to work in the office on a hybrid schedule.
What this job involves:
* Oversee month-end and year-end close activities and ensure integrity and accuracy of reported results and reconciliation with client billing.* Preparation of an internal monthly financial closing package for our five companies.* Preparation and review of journal entries. Supervision of cash reconciliations and cash journals. Arrange for bank transfers.* Review and approval of batch data.* Financial modeling, analysis, manipulation and compilation of quantitative data.* Updating of Playbooks and business processes to maintain operating standards and internal controls.* Support client and Account Management in achieving 100% of client and JLL financial goals for the year.* Complete in-depth analysis on financial and operational trends to proactively identify trends or issues that need to be addressed and resolved quickly.* Maintain various data sources, including the generation and posting of KPIs.* Develop and generate reports from various tools.* Develop databases, excel analysis files and utilize queries and formulas* Supervise a high performing team of 4-5 professionals. Ensure optimum distribution of workflow and cross-training among the team; calendaring of work deliverables and monitoring of team's performance towards those deliverables.* Manage and mentor staff and help guide their development (including preparation of goals & objectives, reviews).* Develop staff succession and growth plans, and Individual Performance Management Planning.* Ensure compliance with GAAP, JLL Internal Audit and Client Accounting Services SOC-1 internal standards.* Special projects and other functions as required by manager or client.* Ability to view our client as a customer, but also views other cross-functional teams as customers, including Corporate Finance, JLL Oversight and other on-Account Teams.* Monitor and complete requisite training assigned by JLL and our client.

* Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting/Business Administration* Approximately 5-7 years of commensurate work experience including 2-3 years of direct managerial experience.* Strong accounting skills.* Familiarity with Property Management, Project Management and Lease Administration business* High attention to detail. Comfortable working with large data sets.* Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Experience with the JD Edwards E1 general ledger system is a plus; large ERP experience required.* Demonstrated success and continued desire to be a people-manager and Leader.* Demonstrated ability to problem solve, referencing applicable internal resources, help desk etc. while achieving required deadlines.* Requisite soft skills such as detail orientation, self-starter, independent worker, and team player.* Ability to execute various responsibilities utilizing a Shared Service function, adhering to prescribed rules and workflow requirements.* Capability and willingness, to collaborate and thrive with cross-functional workflows.* Highly responsive to the needs of our client, and the ability to manage multiple projects and work deliverables.* Ability to create value through process improvement.
