Join us as our new People Partner! The People Partner is the intersection between the business and People Team – from talent attraction to new hire onboarding, employee relations, manager effectiveness, performance management and employee engagement and retention, you are focused on ensuring we ship great people experiences every single day while enabling our business to achieve its goals.

The People Partner (HR Business Partner) will be an advocate of Aquant's core values, partnering with our business leaders in the US and EMEA to help them build their organizations and leverage data to inform and guide great people's decisions.

What you'll do:

Strategic Partnership:

Partner with business leaders to understand their goals and provide HR support to achieve business objectives.

Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's vision and goals.

Act as a consultant to management on People-related issues, providing proactive solutions.

Talent Management:

Spearhead the recruitment and selection process in your region to ensure the acquisition of top talent.

Develop and facilitate onboarding and orientation programs to integrate new employees successfully.

Identify and address talent gaps, and support succession planning efforts.

Employee Relations:

Serve as a trusted advisor to employees, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.

Promote a positive work environment that aligns with our core values through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.

Conduct investigations and manage employee grievances in compliance with company policies.

Performance Management:

Drive the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.

Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on performance improvement.

Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with legal requirements and best practices.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Manage HR-related risk and support a culture of compliance.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

Analyze HR data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations to management.

Prepare and present reports on HR activities and performance from time to time.

Employee Experience and Culture

Be an advocate for healthy team and organizational culture to employees and leadership

Develop continuous improvements to employee experience at Aquant with the People team

Your experience should include:

5+ years of progressive People, Human Resources experience in employee relations; employee engagement; coaching/development ; talent acquisition; data analysis; performance management; compensation and rewards; recognition program and diversity/inclusion

The ability to understand business priorities and translate them into a talent strategy that supports the business as it grows

Polished and professional communication skills, both written and verbal

Exceptional listening skills, a personable and approachable demeanor, and ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees of all levels in the organization.

Successful management of competing priorities, taking initiative and driving projects to completion in a timely and accurate manner

Proven ability to excel in a high paced environment. Designing and quickly implementing solutions that cut across multiple disciplines.

Awareness of and ability to navigate relevant employment and labor regulations

Ability to work independently, as an active member of both business and the People Team.

Flexibility, including the ability to think strategically, execute tactically, and collaborate across many teams, levels, and situations, while maintaining standards of excellence

Integrity. You must be able to handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.

Able to build strong working relationships and execute across multiple cultures, geographies and time zones

Experience maintaining an HRIS system is a plus.

Experience in a startup or scale-up company is a plus

In compliance with the New York City Pay Transparency Law, we are sharing this base salary range. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors including skill set, experience, job scope, performance in assessments during the interview process, and current market data.

New York Salary Range $100,000—$130,000 USD
