Administrative support to busy surgical office. Answering telephones, scheduling appointments, testing and procedures as requested. Check patients in and out - prepare patient for provider visit Clean and stock examination rooms.
Obtain insurance referrals, check patient eligibility and collect copays or deductibles as appropriate. Fulfill medical record requests which includes disability paperwork and attorney requests. Submit and obtain signed fee agreements for workers compensation cases.
* Answer & Manage multi line phone system
* Schedule consults/appointments/testing obtain Prior Authorization when necessary
* Manage clinic/office days-Greet, Register & Room Patients
* Check out patients schedule follow up appointment, testing or procedures
* Document EMR patient questions and relay provider responses including results under direction of the provider
* Maintain EMR documentation plan of care per provider orders
* collect and update patient demographics, scan insurance cards, referrals and outside records
