Responsibilities Responsibilities
Technology Strategy - Creating the 3/1-year vision for TurboTax and our Growth and Engagement function by partnering with business stakeholders in engineering, product management, design, analytics, and customer success. Organizes the team to deliver against top business priorities and proactively re-prioritize as shifts occur in the year.
Boundaryless Collaboration – Ideates, builds and tests new AI models and capabilities that deliver breakthrough growth, increased user adoption, and better together experiences. Works with partners in Tech as well as BUs/FGs to prioritize what’s important, create roadmaps for delivery, and own the delivery of key AI experiences that deliver customer benefit as well as critical business KPIs.
Operational & Engineering Excellence - Result-oriented and deliver huge outcomes. Sets clear objectives and goals for the team and enables the team to deliver and use operating mechanisms to continually assess progress and improve. Establishes the data driven processes needed to achieve operational & engineering excellence. Foster Engineering culture within the team and across organizations
People Leadership - Lead and develop a diverse, high-performing organization of AI scientists and engineers as well as evangelize and democratize AI with partners. Is a talent steward both within their organization as well as peer organizations. Nurture and retain senior talent including Machine Learning Engineering Managers, Data Science Managers and Architects, and acts as a coach across the organization. Experience in scaling world-class engineering teams
Experience working with one of the leading public clouds (AWS, Google, Azure)
Experience building and leading ML/AI teams
Deep knowledge of ML/AI applications and their use in driving customer benefits
Passion for being at the leading edge of technology with a minimum of 10+ years of hands-on development experience and experience as a manager of managers leading AI and data science teams
Very strong leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to create compelling visions, galvanize teams around the vision, execute with high operational rigor and deliver measurable results for customers.
Proven success in building, motivating and retaining teams of star players
A highly technical and result-oriented leader experienced in determining goals and matching those with customer requirements and product roadmaps
Adept at leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams
