Overview
Senior Software Test Engineer
The Senior Software Test Engineer is responsible for working with an offshore software test team to ensure adequacy of testing and overall quality of cloud-based software for managing data from NanoString's spatial genomics platforms. This will include reviewing test plans, test cases, and processes, as well as the results of testing. The Senior SW Test Engineer will develop user acceptance tests and execute them on code deliveries. They may also be required to monitor progress of the offshore test team to ensure schedules are met, and report on testing status to the local team
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Develop and execute written tests at the user acceptance level. Create automated user acceptance tests.
Perform exploratory testing.
Review and contribute to software requirements.
Review test plans, test cases to ensure requirements are adequately tested.
Assist coordinating testing activities among team members.
Write test reports and generate software test trace matrices.
Represent Software Test in cross-functional discussions
Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in a software test role which includes testing software on web-based, cloud-hosted platforms
Experience with cloud-based applications, AWS experience a plus
Experience communicating with offshore Test leads for desired results
Demonstrated ability to plan, design, and execute software tests
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines
Experience with developing test automation a plus
Experience working on Agile teams a plus
Experience working in Azure DevOps (ADO) a plus
At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $$98,000 and $156,000 provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
