Catering Sales & Events Manager

Book group events within the group booking parameters, ensuring that sales progress seamlessly and accurately by following established process and procedures
Gather and input all important customer data to plan appropriately (e.g., customer's goals, specific needs, key account info, etc.)
Maintain the CRM for the HOST Catering Kitchen.
Closes sales by collecting client deposit and signed contract
Provide accurate, complete Event Coordination, and communicate with the Food & Beverage team by utilizing standardized processes.
Manage the Event Coordination to ensure events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with other employees, and ensuring accuracy
Following up on events with thank you cards and by soliciting guest feedback
Confirm final billing accuracy prior to and then process the final bill
Handle event planning aspects prior to the business turning over for business booked in advance (greater than one year out)
Gain and maintain an understanding of the overall market (e.g., competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand etc.) and sell against them
Represent sales department at staff and stand-up meetings and report on sales activity
Work to develop new or existing policies and procedures as determined by need to enhance the productivity of the event process
Ensure site inspections/visits; verify that the business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for quality service delivery
Adhere to all standards, policies, and procedures
Attend and participate in weekly manager meetings as required
Planning menus
Advertising vacancies and recruiting staff
Making sure that staff is fully trained
Keeping staff motivated to provide the highest standard of service
Managing FOH service and delivery staff schedules
Assist with financial planning and managing budgets
Meeting with customers
Discussing contract requirements with customers
Serves as FOH Manager of the HOST Catering Kitchen
Organizes and submits weekly AP Packet
Submits daily tips for Delivery Drivers
Daily Operations with the VR restaurants at the HOST office
Facilitates and HOST events at the office (i.e., Lunch and Learn, Employee Appreciation, etc.)
Catering Sales & Events Manager Compensation Package:
Base salary approximately $55,000 - $60,000
Typical work week is M-F; but business volume may necessitate night and weekend hours based on events
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language of the work location
Reach, bend, push & pull items for up to 2 hours each day
Able to use fingers, hands, arms and shoulders repetitively for up to 6 hours each day
Able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for multiple hours in length
Must have a sense of balance, able to bend, kneel and lift items frequently weighing up to 35 pounds
Able to drive from company office to visit clients
