Internal Audit Digital Solutions and Innovation (DSI) Technology Services Director_

New York

Digital Solutions and Innovation (DSI) is a team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Business Analysts and Support Specialists to leverage cutting technology to provide process efficiencies and deliver greater audit assurance. Within DSI, the Technology Services team is responsible for implementing new versions of the My Audit business application used by Internal Audit (IA) as well as providing Helpdesk Support for My Audit and other IA systems.

This position will provide senior leadership and strategy around workflow development, audit methodology implementation, integration of IA’s applications and life cycle process with Citi’s, support services and project management expertise. In addition to in-depth understanding of audit processes and risks, this position requires a strong technical background with practical experience in audit GRC applications. The Technology Services Director is responsible for liaising between business users / auditors and our technology partners to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

The Technology Services Director manages multiple teams through other managers. In-depth understanding of how own sub-function contributes to achieving the objectives of the function. A good understanding of the industry is also necessary in order to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the relevant part of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/or area of expertise and related subject areas. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication/negotiation may be necessary. Responsible for executing functional strategy in area managed. Determines approach to implementing functional strategy. Accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and contribution to future strategy of the area(s). Impact reflects size of team managed, strategic influence on the business and interaction with other functions or businesses. Full management responsibility for multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. May be doing involved or responsible for diverse (cross-discipline) activities.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Providing leadership and direction to a team of application business analysts

+ Oversee the implementation and configuration of the IA GRC application including gathering requirements, design, testing and deployment

+ Conduct analysis of workflows, requirements, and user needs to ensure application meeting the needs of the IA function

+ Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to configure and enhance the applications to address specific IA requirements and evolving strategy

+ Lead support services to end users on how to effectively use the application and troubleshoot issues

+ Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains within the application and leading initiatives to implement enhancements

+ Ensure compliance with IA methodology and Citi policies and procedures

+ Managing relationships with vendors and third party service providers in the support of the application ensuring service levels are met and issues are addressed promptly

+ Collaborate with IA leadership to address concerns and ensure alignment to organizational objectives

**Qualifications:**

+ 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience

+ Experience working within financial services and technology

+ Experience working directly with audit partners to ensure optimal design and delivery of consumer facing solutions

+ Management experience

+ Excellent user focus

+ Excellent team player; ability to lead, partner and negotiate with cross functional team to successfully deliver stakeholder needs

+ Passion for innovation as a craft and the people who practice it

+ Be a practitioner and an advocate for the value of innovation in refining outcomes and must have a demonstrated ability to work within the company and across industries to identify and source talent, design required training to cover skills gaps, and grow and promote talent

+ **Education:**

+ Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred; managerial experience
