Overview:
You will develop key components of our incentives network, which demand high scalability, precision, and availability. As part of a world-class team, you will deliver exceptional features to Blackhawk consumers and partners. You will push the boundaries of backend technologies to provide robust functionality, constantly leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies and application stacks to build efficient systems. As an outstanding team player, you will simultaneously learn and mentor others, fostering innovation. Your contributions will be crucial in enabling developers to create state-of-the-art payment experiences that consumers love.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and understand the requirements and deliver high-quality code that addresses the requirements
Hands-on technical developer that takes ownership of the individual modules on projects
Follow sound development practices and guidelines
Establish close working relationship with Architects, Technical Leads, QA and support teams
Be part of bi weekly support rotation
Designs, develops and unit tests software applications with high quality and on schedule
Independently able to analyze needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems.
Turns ideas and concepts into carefully designed and well-authored code.
Articulates the interdependencies and the impact of the design choices
Easily able to Adapt/enhance existing and develop new engineering processes & tools
Leads team code review and code management and develops /improves code management procedures.
Responsible for highly sensitive or critical problem determination. Able to diagnose complex developmental & operational problems and develop change management process.
Identifies both benefits and detriments for proposed solutions.
Maintain broad experienced-based understanding of business and impact of industry trends
Qualifications:
Master/Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline
4+ years of software development experience with core Java and J2EE
Java expert and practical experience with JDK 1.6 or above
Spring and Struts frameworks and writing multithreaded applications.
RESTful architecture and REST Web Services implementation
Database design with DB2 or Oracle and with good exposure to SQL
Strong OO Design and development skills
Creative problem solver and excellent communicator
Finance or payment industry experience a plus
Good understanding of Angular JS and Javascript
