Job Title: Director, IT (Atlanta, GA)

Job Duties: The Director, IT is senior role responsible for leading the technical architecture and development of major components of our claim’s platform and large-scale implementation of the Duck Creek Insurance Platform.

Duties include:

Working closely with the senior technical resources from other technical teams within BHSI and external partners, to interpret and translate business requirements into a solution technical design.

Participating in the configuration of the Claims solution including completing critical configuration activities and solving the complex problems.

Analyzing complex technical or systems problem, and design and implement effective technical solutions that meet the business requirements.

Working with technical staff to understand problems with Duck Creek Claims software and develop specifications for improvements and enhancements.

Developing technical scope, approach, and implementation estimates.

Collaborating with the business to ensure proper understanding of the functional needs and how they translate into solution designs.

Engaging in the assignment of work to development team resources, ensuring effective transition of knowledge, design assumptions and development expectations; and

Establishing processes that will facilitate the development of an integrated Claims solution by disparate resources (employees and contractors) that will work from different locations.

Position R equirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field, plus 7 years of applications development experience in the insurance industry.

Experience must include the following:

5 years of experience developing technical solutions and design deliverables for insurance modules using Duck Creek.

5 years of experience using Duck Creek Claims, .NET and Oracle/SQL, and Insurance Domain.

5 years of progressive experience in Duck Creek Claims Configuration utilizing Duck Creek Claims Studio.

5 years of progressive experience in Duck Creek Claims Integration modules utilizing .NET C#, SQL, and Web APIs.

5 years of experience leading teams which would include tasks such as defining team member roles, measuring, and monitoring project progress and clearly defining milestones.

(Full time) Salary: $165,500 / Year
