Job Overview:
We are seeking a personable and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the reception area, providing excellent customer service to our guests, and ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable. This role requires strong organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services:
Greet and welcome guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor.
Check-in and check-out guests efficiently, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience.
Answer and manage phone calls, emails, and other communications promptly and courteously.
Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, providing accurate information and resolving issues effectively.
Reservations and Bookings:
Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the hotel's reservation system.
Verify guest information, payment details, and special requests accurately.
Promote hotel services, facilities, and up-sell rooms and amenities when appropriate.
Administration and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of guest transactions, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
Prepare and distribute guest invoices and receipts.
Balance cash drawers and perform end-of-shift financial reporting.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Facility Management:
Monitor the lobby area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address any guestroom or facility issues.
Assist in emergency situations, following established safety protocols and procedures.
Team Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest service.
Participate in training programs and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
