As Ninety continues to experience exceptional growth, we are looking to bring on a Business Intelligence Engineer who will work with the data team and business stakeholders to provide insightful analytics and data-driven product features, and who will report to the Head of Data.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
3+ years experience building large, complex business intelligence systems
Strong teamwork and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work across entire data stack: data acquisition, ETL/ELT, modeling, governance, visualization
A proven track record owning/working across full lifecycle of data/analytics products
An extremely curious mind and not satisfied with superficial answers about new technologies, technical approaches, and business applications of data projects

Your Key Responsibilities:
Execution of BI task backlog (full lifecycle development in DOMO\Looker\Tableau\PowerBI)
Discovery interviews with business stakeholders to understand business needs and define suitable analytic solutions/requirements
Develop and release SaaS analytics products.
Develop expertise in Ninety’s business and relevant data sources
Build and maintain systems to ensure data quality and reliability and to garner confidence/adoption of BI systems throughout the organization
Build data solutions that are purposely designed for business application
What Success Looks Like:
Ninety’s internal team operates at the highest level of data competency/maturity.
Ninety’s data team has built the analytic tools, and trained the internal team, to leverage data not only for hindsight, but also for insight and foresight.
Ninety’s internal data competency has also been turned toward providing our client companies with analytic tools that allow them to operate with insight and foresight.
Ninety’s data team is aware of industry trends, punches well above its weight class in the sophistication of the data program, and how the data is consumed and acted upon by the entire business.
Preferred Qualifications:
Business or CS degree, with the capability of constructing analytic systems with software architecture patterns/mindset
3+ years of experience using DOMO, specifically: Fluency working with Magic ETL 2, MySQL/RedShift dataflows, Beast Mode, data import jobs, Analyzer, PDP, etc. -AND / OR
Tableau/Looker/PowerBI/Snowflake
Data engineering experience outside of BI tools: ETL/ELT, data source mapping, RDBMS, NoSQL, Azure DF, Redshift, BigQuery/SSIS/SSAS, SQL Server, Postgres.
3 years of structured query development experience.
Mid Sized company BI experience: familiarity with processes and patterns for successful delivery and adoption of BI across mid size company data and organizations
Experience with a LEAN approach to analytics, especially in a startup environment
Familiarity working with APIs for data acquisition
Python a plus
Agile/Scrum experience
Reliable internet and phone connection
Experience in, or are excited to work in an early-stage environment
Ability to manage time effectively, work independently and be self-motivated
