Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of a leading aerospace program and make an impact on the future of commercial flights?

At Collins Aerospace safety is our highest priority. That's why we are seeking a Master Tech, Quality Compliance at our Chula Vista, CA location. For this role we are looking for someone who possesses technical expertise to perform quality inspections of airplane approved DSQR parts and write 8130 airworthiness tags (FAA/EASA).

In this role you will enjoy working in a team environment, completing daily tasks at hand, writing, inspecting and maintaining charts for the organization. Including quality clinic activities (IPUs) and other duties as assigned. This position works 1st shift (7:30am - 4:00pm) and requires full time presence Onsite which could include overtime and occasional weekend work to support production.

What You Will Do

Interpret instructions (verbal, written, illustrated).

Read and interpret blueprints.

Conduct in-process quality inspections.

Schedule and prioritize workload in areas of responsibility with support from supervisor.

Use SAP to complete tasks.

Will recertify airworthiness tag every 36 months.

Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Certification may be required for technical support roles.

Experience in Aerospace/Aerostructures business

2 years Quality Assurance experience.

Able to read engineering drawings.

Experience with SAP.

Qualifications We Prefer Airworthiness tag experience

Certification in AS9100

Manufacturing background

FAA tag certification

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 137,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
