At Collins Aerospace safety is our highest priority. That’s why we are seeking a Master Tech, Quality Compliance at our Chula Vista, CA location. For this role we are looking for someone who possesses technical expertise to perform quality inspections of airplane approved DSQR parts and write 8130 airworthiness tags (FAA/EASA).

In this role you will enjoy working in a team environment, completing daily tasks at hand, writing, inspecting and maintaining charts for the organization. Including quality clinic activities (IPUs) and other duties as assigned. This position works 1st shift (7:30am – 4:00pm) and requires full time presence Onsite which could include overtime and occasional weekend work to support production.

What You Will Do

+ Interpret instructions (verbal, written, illustrated).

+ Read and interpret blueprints.

+ Conduct in-process quality inspections.

+ Schedule and prioritize workload in areas of responsibility with support from supervisor.

+ Use SAP to complete tasks.

+ Will recertify airworthiness tag every 36 months.

Qualifications You Must Have

+ Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Certification may be required for technical support roles.

+ U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee status) as defined here: cfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

+ Experience in Aerospace/Aerostructures business

+ 2 years Quality Assurance experience.

+ Able to read engineering drawings.

+ Experience with SAP.

Qualifications We Prefer

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 137,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
