Humacyte, Inc. is bringing to market a once in a generation scientific technology platform, bioengineering readily available and universally implantable product opportunities focused on improving lives of patients and transforming the practice of medicine. Located in Durham, NC, the company develops and manufactures acellular tissues for the treatment of diseases and conditions across a wide range of therapeutic areas. The companys innovative technology supports tissue repair, reconstruction, and replacement while overcoming limitations in existing standards of care. Initially developing a portfolio of human acellular vessels (HAVs), to target multiple vascular markets including trauma, arteriovenous access for hemodialysis, peripheral arterial disease, and coronary artery bypass grafting. Humacyte is focused on the development of future markets such as pediatric heart surgery, delivery of cellular therapies, and multiple other novel cell and tissue systems.
We are looking for additional colleagues to continue to build our expanding team. Candidates will be expected to work both independently and collaboratively as part of the Humacyte organization. **Position Background:**
The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for negotiations, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), purchase and delivery of all assigned categories, with a focus on total cost, quality, and lead time. This role will collect appropriate data, analyze results, and present recommendations to support Procurements financial goals and objectives and will assist with driving strategic alignment throughout the organization.
This position reports to *Associate Director, Procurement*
**Major Accountabilities:**
* Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order to product or service receipt and successfully resolve problems with delivery, supply, service, payment, and purchase order closing
* Develop requirements and scope of services in partnership with internal customers for Requests for Proposals
* Analyze bid documentation and make recommendations to internal stakeholders for awarding RFPs, contracts and/or purchase orders based on market research, price, quality, service, support, and other factors
* Design, create and manage contract database for tracking of Master Service Agreements, Supplier Contracts, and Supplier Contact Information per policy and functional requirements
* Assist the Associate Director, Procurement in developing procurement strategies that will drive measurable improvements in the areas of customer satisfaction, compliance, and cost improvement
* Partner with Supply Chain to provide analytical support to improve inventory levels and lead times to increase both internal and external customer satisfaction
* Manage the Supplier Performance Management Program to include generating and maintaining appropriate documentation related to key supplier performance metrics reporting; prepare and lead QBRs
* Establish regular communications meetings with internal customers and suppliers
* Develop and revise processes, templates, reports, and best practices to be used in the procurement processes and systems
* Generate and analyze spend and cost savings reports for trends and COGs reduction opportunities
* Analyze the use of products and services across the organization, including associated volumes and buying habits, to aid in cost effective purchasing decisions
* Educate Humacyte personnel on procurement policies and procedures
* Other duties, as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS:**
* 5+ years of Purchasing / Supply Chain experience
* Advanced degree with some experience will also be considered
* Strong organizational and analytical skills
* Direct experience in regulated environments (cGMP, FMCSA, OSHA, EPA), preferred
* Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting, preferred
* Experience using a Contract Management System, including implementation, highly desirable
* Experience with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics) and/or Withoutwire Inventory Science software, preferred
* Intermediate computer software skills are required. Scope of skills should include ERP systems as well as knowledge of Access, Word, and Excel
