Job Duties: Designing, engineering, and developing business intelligence (BI) solutions, including integrating complex data sets, queries, reports, dashboards, and analysis, to answer business questions. Design and develop proof of concept and prototype application environments for solving business problems. Identify and interpret trends, patterns, and correlations among various data points. Translate business needs into technical specifications to deliver customized reporting and software solutions (BI, Advanced analytics, APIs/Services). Design efficient visualizations, score cards, dashboards, reports, and recommend ongoing optimization of BI data models, data sets, and data quality. Oversee the end-to-end development and support of Costco's BI reporting environments for ongoing metrics, reports, dashboards using Power BI, Power App, and Power Automate. Create data visualizations that illustrate data learnings and insights in an understandable and user-friendly manner through software UI / UX design using Power BI. Telecommuting permitted.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Analytics, or a related field. Plus one year of experience in: Creating complex BI reports, dashboard applications, and scorecards that monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators); Utilizing reporting tools such as MS Power BI or Tableau to create graphs, charts, visuals, and data summarizations that provide insights on business performance; Writing efficient queries with SQL; and Extracting data utilizing BI tools and databases, cleaning and transforming data to extract insights, and analyzing results to answer business questions.
In lieu of a Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Analytics, or a related field, plus one year of experience as described above, employer will accept three years of experience in each of the following: Creating complex BI reports, dashboard applications, and scorecards that monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators); Utilizing reporting tools such as MS Power BI or Tableau to create graphs, charts, visuals, and data summarizations that provide insights on business performance; Writing efficient queries with SQL; and Extracting data utilizing BI tools and databases, cleaning and transforming data to extract insights, and analyzing results to answer business questions.
Salary range: $141,000 - $170,000. Benefits: paid time off, medical/dental/vision/hearing aid/pharmacy/behavioral health/employee assistance, health care reimbursement & dependent care assistance plans, short/long-term disability, AD&D, life insurance, 401(k), stock purchase plan.
