The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst plays a critical role in leading Citi’s Transformation initiatives, which represent the bank’s top priorities globally at an enterprise-wide level. This includes Citi’s Data Governance Plan, which brings the bank forward per the direction set forth in Citi’s Enterprise Data Strategy. The Chief Data Office, in partnership with businesses and functions, will be focused on delivering against the commitments outlined in the Data Governance Plan (DGP) including a governance framework, as well as a number of foundational data capabilities.
The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst will be part of the team responsible for the promotion, support, monitoring and reporting on Citi’s interactions with its regulators, Board and senior management DGP governance forums.
Responsibilities
Leading the preparation of meeting materials for use at the Executive Oversight Meetings, inclusive of ‘standard’ program updates and special/deep dive topics. This will require:
Developing an understanding of the key business deliverables required for each data initiative and the associated dependencies;
The ability to provide a review and challenge view of potential risks associated with program delivery on a technical and detailed level;
Monitoring, interpreting, and reacting to emerging regulatory guidance or feedback related to the priority programs and related regulatory issues;
Consulting subject matters experts when performing the above; and
Ensuring clear and transparent reporting of program status to the Executive Management Team.
Leveraging the above to produce useful, reusable, and quality content / materials for internal and external governance forums and management reporting.
Executing against multiple contending priorities simultaneously and various ad-hoc projects critical to the COO organization as well as researching and drafting materials for presentations for ‘deep dives’ into particular topics.
Ensuring all materials and messaging are consistent with DGP initiatives across various governance forums.
Communicating to senior management effectively and concisely key information regarding key interactions and governance forums, distilling the key outcomes of the meetings / exams and conducting follow-ups.
Establishing strong relationships with 2nd and 3rd lines of defense and cross-enterprise partners.
Collaborating with meeting material content creators to produce timely, effective meeting materials for internal and external governance forums
Capturing discussion key points and develop detailed minutes and action items from governance forum meetings.

High level of diplomacy with strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to deliver concise executive summaries for senior management including the Board.
Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communications skills -- presenting, writing, editing.
Ease interfacing and engaging with stakeholder at all levels (analyst through Managing Director).

Knowledge / Experience:
5+ years of experience with complex, multi-year, regulatory commitments, within the data management space preferred
Experience with data management, data governance, data quality or related data concepts preferred
into cohesive, accurate and fit for purpose work products
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
PMP (or equivalent) certification strongly preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
