The general salary range for this position is $130 – 158k.
Salary offers will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, training and education.
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s most effective animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Senior Director, Global Strategic Partnerships for the Business Development department. In this position, y ou will lead the strategy, planning, development, execution, and analysis of integrated marketing campaigns that align corporate partners with key strategic priorities that drive multi-year, six and seven figure corporate sponsorships. You will bring to life multiple multi-channel public engagement tactics supporting promotional, brand and program initiatives, advance the integrated corporate partner journey, and expand the business development team’s ability to fundraise. Manage, coach, motivate and develop all direct reports. Organize, plan, appraise and monitor staff processes to ensure quality service and operations' success.
Responsibilities:
Lead strategy, development and execution (from planning to completion) of integrated marketing campaigns, for corporate partners’ across multiple channels (digital, social, print, media, grass root/local events) ensuring a best-in-class product that is launched on time and within budget;
Lead the Integrated Marketing team and partner with business development, marketing and channel teams to strategize and develop long- and short-term public engagement campaigns to elevate the brand and achieve assigned business development fundraising revenue and corporate partner engagement goals;
Author strategic briefs and campaign marketing plans, access creative outputs and provide strategic direction and leadership that advances the efficacy of each campaign and demonstrates material impact on the improvement of creative assets;
Work with internal stakeholders and external creative agencies to obtain, interpret data and apply insights and performance analysis, set milestones, manage potential risks, identify efficiencies and drive buy-in with key stakeholders including leadership;
Research prospective corporate campaign models, respond to new campaign partnership inquiries, support business development efforts to acquire, retain and grow corporate sponsorships, compile timely impact reports, and evaluate viability of emerging engagement trends and opportunities. Handle concerns and address campaign related issues as they arise internally and externally;
Develop, deploy, and manage, coach and develop the Global Strategic Partnerships Team best practices and processes across the marketing organization e.g., project management, creative & brand asset management, creative review and approval, internal communication plan for annual marketing projects, creative tests and learn plans (such as messaging, positioning, image, offer, and placement testing);
Performs other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent marketing or client journey work experience required;
Eight plus (8+) years of experience successfully expanding organizational alliances with corporate partners/sponsors. Demonstrated progressive experience in corporate partner/sponsor activation and retention, partner/sponsor experience, and managing the complex variety of relationship expectations of corporate partnerships;
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in partnership activation, relationship management, innovative marketing solutions, and business-to-business sales;
Leadership ability in work setting. Flexible, willing to learn, and anticipates the needs of self and staff;
Strong project management skills with demonstrable experience of successfully managing projects with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities;
High level of confidence, integrity, interpersonal skills, and a professional executive presence for effectively interacting with and influencing others;
Attention to detail and commitment to excellence, demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes;
Ability to set a positive tone for employees during their day;
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive;
Ability to manage issues requiring problem resolution and conflict management with excellent interpersonal and intervention skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Knowledge of business operations, including effective budget development and management processes;
Knowledge of CRM software preferred;
Willing and able to travel;
Strong interest in animal protection issues preferred.
This position is based in the DC Metro Area – Remote Eligible.
