ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re seeking a Public Relations professional with agency & client teams experience in project management and media relations. You willdemonstrate strength intheability toproject manage andlead team memberscollaboratively across integrated PR campaign development, with day-to day marketing,and communications projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Specifically, this position will beresponsible for:
TeamLeadership
Participate inprojects andberesponsible for their outcomes.
Influence and participatein decision-making for client-facing projects.
Manage projectteam memberson their project deliverablesand communicatewith the client.Delegateand useinclusive language and behaviors.
Project manageindependently.
Oversee PR results and reporting for the projects they are leading.
May support new business development withclient to showcase our work.
Public RelationsResponsibilities
Developand executestrategic media relations plans at a national and local level for B2C clients acrossmultipleindustries.
Manage client interaction and management across accounts, serving as the day-to-day client contact on certain accounts and projects.
Managebudgets and billing for certain accounts and projects.
Serveas a media relations resource across the agency and helpwith theevaluationofthe media practice and tools.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree required.
REQUIREMENTS
Theideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating calm under pressure and having at least3-5+ years of Communications orPublicRelationsexperience; with1-2years in an agency environment.
Required experience includes, but is not limited to:
Leadership skills with managing teams via influence with experiencesin usingsound judgment.
Decision-making skills including ability to ability to apply critical thinking to a simple or complex situation, analyze situations includingshort- and long-termimpact, understand the available options, and recommend the best course of action among the options.
Project management skills including time management prioritization and tracking, capabilities withcreating strategies and tasks, organizing needs and prioritization the needs, comfort level with various PM tools/technologies. Prefer Asana experience.
Communication skills – able to communicate effectively and collaboratively across teams internal and external using multiple channels.
Strong knowledge of target audiences, such asreporters, influencers or internal stakeholdersand has begunworking relationships with those contacts.
Understanding oflong-termcommunicationsstrategyand messaging needs as well as the right channels/events to utilizeto deploymaterials.
Has experience witheffectively managinga minor crisis ornavigatingone with a team.
Demonstrated success in securing media coverage (local, trade and/or national) and passion for media relations.
Relevant knowledge of local media, national news, and industry trends
Experience with and understanding of PR and marketing concepts and practices.This includes understanding of city politics and business, local media.
Ability to have a keen eye for identifying potential opportunities for client
Copywriting for member newsletters
Knowledge ofindustry trends and current methods.
Outstanding communication and writing skills and knowledge of AP Style
Knowledge and proficiency with utilizing social media for storytelling, posts, and monitoring feeds (LinkedIn, Facebook etc.)
Excellent attention to detail, strong proofreading skills and ability to multitask and execute through to completion.
