Scope of Position:
This position is needed to support course offerings of Basic Communication I ( SIGN 135) and /or Basic Communication II ( SIGN 136). The employee will teach courses in-person as requested by the academic Dean.
Key Measurable Expectations
Lewis and Clark Community College is currently seeking an adjunct instructor in the field of Sign Language to teach during the spring 2024 semester and future semesters as needed. Candidate should possess the appropriate credentials to teach at the college level (see “minimum qualifications”).
Learner-centered instruction: Teach introductory sign language courses according to student learning objectives.
Creation of course materials: Create notes, handouts, exams, etc. for use in courses.
Technology: Integrate instructional technology as appropriate in courses.
Philosophy: Continually strive to achieve the college mission, vision, and key directions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Sign Language Communications or a Master’s Degree in a related field with 18 hours in Sign Language Communications.
