Instructional Designer II_

**Job Description:**

+ We're looking for someone to join our training team who is a strong writer with a passion for clarity and helping people learn.

+ Ideally, you have experience designing and building online job aids and references, and writing materials that support customer onboarding and customer support activities.

+ This role will help train, develop content for customer-facing communication, and provide audits for customer support agents activities.

+ This person will support communicating with customers using the customer content developed.

+ We are looking for a writer and self-driven learner who can dive deep into complex content about our tools and systems, and then think through the best way to help customer support agents learn them.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts to define learning objectives.

+ Perform needs analysis and evaluate existing documentation to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the demands of the learning objectives and audience.

+ Plan and write content for training programs using instructional and distribution methods (online, classroom or blended) that best suit the content.

+ Create engaging and valid trainee evaluation tools that prove successful knowledge transfer.

+ Build processes and templates to minimize the development time for new training materials, and to help others participate in our development cycle.

+ Help maintain existing programs to ensure the content remains complete and relevant.

+ Communicate effectively with adjacent teams.

+ Development of Help Content (40%)

+ Creation of Standard Operating Procedures (30%)

+ Orchestrating Content Updates across PO (15%)

+ Facilitation of CSA onboarding trainings (10%)

+ Customer Contact Management (5%)

**Experience:**

+ The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment.

+ They will be a creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for helping people learn and for finding simple ways to convey complex ideas.

+ 0-3 years of relevant experience.

+ You have some or all of the following: knowledge and application of instructional theories, adult learning, on the job learning, knowledge management theories, and principles in both on-line and classroom instruction.

+ Alternately, if you have experience as a technical writer and background in any educational environment, and a desire and aptitude to learn about instructional design, you may be the right person for our team.

+ Either way, you have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.

+ Fluency in all Microsoft Office applications, HTML and Photoshop

+ Experience using e-learning software, such as Captivate or Viewlet Builder

**Education:**

+ Bachelor's degree
