The Job
We are hiring a Regional Sales Manager to work in our Northern California region, to lead and manage the existing sales team in that region. This individual will support their respective teams' daily activities towards seeking out opportunities through closing jobs and selling directly to specified assigned accounts of their own.
Manage new equipment Sales Executives with responsibility for weekly sales calls, quotes, orders, training/development; Work closely with team to increase sales opportunities, effectively utilize marketing and promotional strategies
Lead weekly Sales team meeting to solve issues and guide team; Participate in annual and quarterly planning
Sell to assigned accounts: gathers requirements, participates in quoting process, and follow up to close the sale
Work closely with all leaders including those from other departments to resolve issues quickly and take care of our customers
Collaborate on inventory needs; Keep abreast of the competitive landscape, ensuring that BCEW remains competitive
Create monthly forecasts for orders and profitability
Build and manage relationships with companies that supply products and services to BCEW, foster customer relationships to grow the business; address customer feedback including concerns/escalated matters; coordinate design/engineering sales calls/training/lunch and learns; assist Sales Executives to sell, problem solve and provide technical support.
Fully utilize BOLT process and tools and ensure team members are following suit
Lead Sales Executive process improvement initiatives and provide both subject matter expertise and thought leadership to ensure standardization, efficiencies and best practices are employed
Ensure sales team receives internal and external training on a regular basis, including process changes, BCEW/Kohler products, product application training, competitive strengths and weaknesses, demonstration techniques, sales process training and on how to use all of the BCEW reference resources.
Desired Skills, Knowledge & Experience: Minimum 5+ years of Sales experience in Power Generation or related industry
Prefer Sales Supervision experience in Power Generation or related industry
Demonstrated proficiency meeting growth initiatives and delivering bottom line results
Strategic thinker with proven ability to lead, coach and mentor
Strong customer relations skills: ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and oral)
Ability to uphold the highest ethical standards in every aspect of the job
Ability to effectively present information to peers, customers, leadership team, and the public
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Ability to solve complex problems and sell in a consultative role; ability to adapt strategy to changing conditions
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Experience with Salesforce, or another CRM
This job will require approximately 40%+ travel throughout assigned region to call on customers; occasional conferences, factory-based training, and team meetings, etc.

As a BCEW team member, you will enjoy a total compensation package that includes competitive pay and benefits. Salary: Salary range for this role is $85,000 - $115,000 annual salary, dependent upon experience; $100,000 - $200,000 Annual Sales Commission potential in AOR. Note: certain accounts are considered 'house accounts' and will not be included in the commission.
