The Neuropsychology Administrative Support will work with other members of Semmes Murphey Clinic to provide patient services and is expected to participate in the appropriate team activities with the objective of providing a high standard of patient and clinical service. The Neuropsychology Administrative Support is responsible for guiding patients through the intake process, monitoring the waiting area, and accurately documenting insurance information into their electronic medical record.

Requirements
Provide patient with physician specific forms to complete and route necessary paperwork to the designated physician; maintain supply of appropriate forms needed for each physician; and obtain neuropsychology specific release of information forms from patients
Maintain a thorough understanding of insurance carriers to correctly identify, verify, and load carriers into the patients' electronic medical record
Review physician schedules prior to the date of service to confirm patient insurance is active and make reminder phone calls to patient
Maintain incoming Neuropsychology referral folder and route fax referrals to appropriate physician
Assist in answering incoming phone calls for the department and respond to the voicemails in a timely and professional manner
Schedule patient appointments in electronic medical record (EMR) system, as well as on Outlook Calendar for designated physician
Obtain outside records for upcoming patient appointments and assist in preparing records to be scanned into EMR following clinic visits and completion of testing
Interact with patients, guest, coworkers, and physicians in a professional and pleasant manner
Maintain waiting room cleanliness and supplies as needed
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CREDENTIALS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in medical office or customer service environment
PREFERRED One (1) year's related experience and/or training
