Responsibilities In this role, you will utilize your knowledge of data, Databricks, and AWS technologies to guide multiple partner led engineering teams to deliver solutions related to customer and marketing data
You will work with large data sets and real time streaming from our mobile app, loyalty program, and other sources to deliver highly resilient data pipelines
You will be responsible for guiding solution design, following and developing best practices, holding to quality standards, and adhering to site reliability expectations
This role requires leadership, technical expertise, critical thinking, and focus on continuous improvement to solve complex data engineering challenges.
Your daily work will require partnering with fellow engineers, data and enterprise architects, technology and business stakeholders, and vendor teams following an agile methodology
Lead and mentor partner engineering teams with both on and offshore resources to efficiently deliver capabilities and scale capacity
Own the architecture and design of solutions involving Databricks, large data sets, real time streaming, highly resilient/self-healing data pipelines, and multi-region AWS architectures
Lead software delivery and operations by serving as a thought leader, innovator, model developer and reviewer
Define patterns and processes for data transformation, movement, and manipulation using (amongothers), SQL, Databricks, dbt, Spark, Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift
Identify & propose emerging technologies, methodologies and/or approaches related to data andanalytics
Be a key participant of the team’s Agile process
Address engineering assignments by autonomously deciding which ones to delegate and which ones to execute hands-on
Facilitate transitions to Managed Operations for 24x7 monitoring and level 1 and 2 support while organizing vendor teams to provide level 3 engineering support

• Identify & propose emerging technologies, methodologies and/or approaches related to data andanalytics

• Familiarity with version control systems and code merging/branching; specific experience with git
• Experience working with an agile development methodology featuring sprints, points estimation, and daily standups
• Experience in design, data collection, and data analysis
