Liquid Environmental Solutions is seeking a Lab Technician to join our team in FLORIDALOCATION: Jacksonville FLPRINCIPAL DUTIES:Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:Understand and follow laboratory SOPs before implementation.Learn, establish, and execute SOPs.Understand the basic operation of laboratory equipment.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.Sample preparation, testing, and data acquisition.Perform testing, of metals on ICP, COD, and volatile solvents on Gas Chromatography; Ensure test equipment is clean, maintained, and in good working order.Run Metals for Hourly Compliance samples which the operator brings to the Lab.Collect, prepare, and send compliance Samples to outside Lab Twice a month.Check the calendar log for weekly PH Calibration and finish twice a week before Friday if it's not done.Document all necessary information in offloading tickets for incoming loads including comments for additional surcharges.Check timesheet is filled up correctly.Run daily Composite Samples (from incoming loads) on ICP, GC, and COD.Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work area.Maintain laboratory inventory, equipment lists, and chemicals/reagents.Monitor and log lab environmental conditions.Conducts all activities safely and efficiently.Performs other duties as assigned.Good communication and people skills.Demonstrate a desire to learn new skills.Ability to legibly and accurately complete records.Work well, professionally, and effectively with co-workers.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Experience or willingness to work in a lab environment (coursework may be acceptable).Familiar with metals and chemicals.Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook;Proven organizational and problem-solving skills;Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing;Ability to work both independently with little guidance, and within a collaborative group environment;Experience ordering supplies and maintaining the proper laboratory functions;Ability to lift 40 lbs.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Analytical laboratory experience;Lab experience with plants;PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of hands;Frequently requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push objects or materials;COMMITMENT & DEPENDABILITY:Willingness to be an integral member of a successful team;Dedication to providing the highest levels of service;Excellent attendance and reliability;Adherence to company policies and procedures;Dedicated to maintaining confidentiality in every aspect of the job.Adaptable/flexibleenjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in directionAchievement-orientedenjoys taking on challenges, even if they might failEDUCATION:High school diploma or equivalentBENEFITS:Affordable medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid holidays, vacation, and personal time offOpportunity for advancement401(k) plan10-12 hour shifts daily; consistent and steady work schedulesGrowing industryTeam environmentLocal work, return to home terminal dailyHourly pay with overtimeIndustry-leading equipment and technologyCompany-paid life insuranceEmployee referral bonus programWHO WE ARE:Liquid Environmental Solutions is the nation's leading provider in the growing industry of liquid, non-hazardous waste solutions.
