Baptist Health is currently looking for an experienced and skilled Medical Technologist to join our Laboratory department at Baptist Medical Center Beaches. This is a full-time, days opportunity working 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and every third weekend. This candidate has the opportunity to flex their schedule. This candidate must hold a valid Medical Technician OR Technologist - Generalist license in the State of Florida before hire and have at least two years of working experience in the lab. This Medical Technologist will work in a team setting and have the opportunity to work with an automated line. This candidate will have the opportunity to work steps from the beach, in a newly renovated, state-of-the-art laboratory. This is a smaller facility, perfect for those looking to work in a family-like environment.

As a Medical Technologist, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining expertise and performing technical, specimen collection/processing, LIS, general department, and clerical functions in laboratory areas where applicable.
Maintaining records of performance as defined in the SOP manuals.
Supervision by Director and Section Supervisors; can perform all responsibilities without on-site supervision.
Supervising MLTs as General Supervisor and serving as a Charge Technologist in the absence of other lab supervisors or MTs.
Instructing new employees and students.
License Note: Candidates licensed prior to 1997 are not required to have certification per the State of Florida Licensure rules.
