About the Role
The Managing Director for Equality is a pivotal role that leads a social impact initiative dedicated to advancing health and human rights for the LGBTQ+ community on a global scale. This role involves owning and executing strategies to accelerate progress in key areas such as eradicating HIV, ending the persecution of LGBTQ+ individuals, and promoting equality. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the company's executive leadership team, working closely with the CEO, Board members, and other leaders to 10X the initiative's impact. They will also be responsible for leading a team, maintaining operational excellence, and overseeing partnerships with LGBTQ+ non-governmental organizations and public health authorities.The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in public health or human/civil rights, with at least 5 years in a leadership position, and a proven track record of driving significant advancements in these areas at a global level. Strong relationships within the LGBTQ+-related NGO and public health sectors are essential, as is a hands-on, execution-focused approach. The candidate should be deeply passionate about the mission, committed to the values of equality and justice, and adept at working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve ambitious goals. Experience in using large digital platforms for social impact and working in the Global South is highly desirable.
