Since its start as the Google Self-Driving Car Project in 2009, Waymo has focused on building the Waymo Driver-The World's Most Experienced Driver-to improve access to mobility while saving thousands of lives now lost to traffic crashes. The Waymo Driver powers Waymo One, a fully autonomous ride-hailing service, and can also be applied to a range of vehicle platforms and product use cases. The Waymo Driver has provided over one million rider-only trips, enabled by its experience autonomously driving tens of millions of miles on public roads and tens of billions in simulation across 13+ U.S. states.

This role reports to the Head of Marketing. It is a hybrid role and it can be based out of Mountain View, CA.

In this role, you'll:

Paid Media Strategy: Lead media effectiveness and measurement strategy, media mix optimization, seasonal planning, and campaign budgeting. Diagnose risks, opportunities, and guide investment decisions

Performance Metrics: Utilize marketing analytics to measure campaign performance, new user acquisition costs, and customer lifetime value; continuously refine and optimize marketing strategies accordingly

CRM and Lifecycle Marketing: Develop a comprehensive vision and customer segmentation strategy that maximizes engagement, retention, reactivation, and satisfaction, ensuring relevant content and promotions to support the customer through each stage of their journey. Drive data-based experimentation and innovation

Technology Integration: Collaborate with Eng, Product, and Data Science teams to evaluate and implement digital, CRM and marketing automation tools that enhance marketing effectiveness. Stay up-to-date with MarTech trends

Team Leadership: Manage a team of four talented marketers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Provide guidance in setting objectives, KPIs, and tracking progress

At a minimum, we'd like you to have:

12+ years of marketing experience in new user growth, engagement, and retention

Proven experience developing growth strategies within unit economic frameworks, establishing multi-quarter and multi-year objectives, and working cross-functionally to deliver against growth goals

Prior focus on B2C, app-based brands

Expertise in customer segmentation, omnichannel strategies, and marketing automation

Deep knowledge of CRM strategy and management, with strong interest in how it works "under the hood" (i.e. tracking, marketing tech stack, tooling)

Ability to move smoothly between high-level strategy and execution

It's preferred if you have:

Previous experience with rewards, offers, promotions and loyalty/membership programs

Technically savvy and at home working with Product, Engineering and Data Science teams

Effectively prioritizes and drives focus based on business impact and cost

Appreciation for technical products and able to distill complexity down to relevant consumer stories

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo's discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.

Salary Range $240,000 - $302,000 USD We appreciate your interest in Waymo.
