Job Description:
Software Engineer works effectively across the entire software development life cycle. This includes requirements definition, prototyping, detailed design, coding, testing, deployment, and support of the day-to-day operation of production systems.
The Software Engineer is expected to collaborate with technical staff, management, and business operations staff throughout all phases of the software development life cycle in order to deliver working solutions to complex business problems according to agreed upon timelines and budgets to support the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Healthcare.
The staff role is a journey-level professional in most aspects of software programming and development. Abilities encompass a broad knowledge within the software development domain. Typically implements designs developed by others, adhering to enterprise standards and best practices.
Functions independently and produces results that meet standards of quality, timeliness, and acceptability with minimal supervision and general direction. Works as a team player, providing ideas and support to peers and the development team leadership.
Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs, and implements software code
Develop self-serve Radar, Cogito SQL, Slicer dicer datasets with end user understandable output visualizations
Extracts data that use SSIS
Candidate will query SQL Server databases using T-SQL.
Builds solutions and workflows, user interfaces, makes recommendations to minimize upgrade impact. Works assigned ticketing and queue.
Participate in all phases of required implementations, including installation, configuration, customization, integration, and data migration. Creates documentation needed by analysts and implementation partners, etc.
Participates in software product definition, including business case, gap analysis, specifications and requirements analysis. Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the integration of new products per production and client requirements. Feasibility and cost benefit analysis, decides upon application architecture and framework, develops accurate implementation timeline.
Provides quality assurance of unit testing, including defining/supporting acceptance testing and gathering feedback from pre-release testers. Participates in software release and post-release activities, including support of product launch (e.g. developing demonstrations and/or samples).

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Two years of experience in healthcare, technology or related field is required

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$34.48 - $61.27
