About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Legal to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all legal operations with a strategic and business-oriented approach. This includes advising on a wide range of legal matters, providing daily support to cross-functional teams, and driving company growth through the management of all legal aspects of revenue transactions. The role also involves the creation and negotiation of various contracts and ensuring the company's compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, at least 10 years of law practice experience, and a strong background in technology transactions.Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Legal at the company include legal leadership, compliance and governance, transaction management, commercial contracts with a strong focus on SAAS/software contracts, and corporate legal matters. The role demands a strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate legal issues, a proven track record in negotiating and interpreting commercial agreements, and a deep understanding of how legal terms impact business. The candidate should be a collaborative leader, exhibit excellent communication skills, and have a strong business judgment. Experience in federal government contracts is a plus, and the individual should be adept at addressing a variety of technology-related legal issues, including those related to intellectual property.
