Overview:
Our client will be hiring an IT Systems Administrator. This role is responsible for the daily operations and monitoring of corporate IT infrastructure. This role will ensure smooth running of networking and server systems, while maintaining a high level of security.
The hiring manager is looking for experience with Active Directory, physical server provisioning - memory and storage and VMWare virtualization specific to VCenter and vSphere/Hyper-V.
This position is onsite in Wilsonville, OR.
Responsibilities:
Manage Windows and Linux applications, provisioning servers, and troubleshoot.
Manage Microsoft Exchange i.e., upgrades and migrations.
Take ownership over preventative maintenance tasks and updates on Windows IT hardware and software systems
Collaboratively manages, maintains, and updates Microsoft Active Directory, WSUS, Exchange infrastructure
Helps maintain computer hardware (peripheral devices) and networking equipment
Administers and ensures routine maintenance and updates to all IT systems and infrastructure
Will help support network security protocol
Helps install, configure, and maintain monitoring and security tools
Troubleshoot IT related problems, both Hardware and Software
Maintain Networking infrastructure, remote sites, and mobile devices
Maintain and configure firewall appliances, antivirus and other security tools and monitors audit logs to detect suspicious activity
Conducts network vulnerability scans to ensure secure operations
Provides after hours support for planned maintenance
Qualifications 10+ years' IT Systems Administration experience in a corporate environment
3 years' Windows server administration experience
Experience managing Microsoft Exchange upgrades and migrations
Linux server admin experience
Active Directory, physical server provisioning - memory and storage
VMWare virtualization specific to VCenter and vSphere/Hyper-V (backup and disaster recovery).
Preferred VMWare
Experience performing preventative maintenance and updates of hardware and software
Ability to update and maintain computer hardware
Demonstrated knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP VLANs and various network monitoring tools
CCNA Certification or similar (preferred, but not required)
Experience troubleshooting network issues/problems
