JOB SUMMARY: The Sys Admin serves as the key interface between internal team members and critical technology systems at Bridgetown. This role aims to provide uninterrupted service through management and troubleshooting related to the IT network, computers and servers. As a key member of a small department, the Sys Admin must be able to solve problems independently as well as execute projects with multiple teams to ensure business needs are met. Due to company growth, this role requires flexibility and a desire to learn and resolve issues across many IT subdisciplines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintain, administer, and monitor all components of our information systems to ensure minimal interruption to operations. This includes: enterprise systems, application software, database management, internet and email communication systems, file servers, wireless system, scanners, firewall, network hardware and software, servers, printers, etc.
Support the installation of computer software and hardware and serve as technical problem-solver for all stages of technical lifecycle
Improve user rights and network security for all network, ERP, internet, phones, and VPN
Maintain IT related documentation
Assist helpdesk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups
Willing to learn and teach others about systems IT support.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
Experience working with Microsoft Azure or other cloud data management
Strong knowledge and experience with Windows servers; SQL/Oracle database and servers
SQL/PLSQL knowledge
Knowledge of firewalls, virtualization (MS Hyper-V), VPNs, back-ups, including system documentation
Organization, time management, and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to understand and communicate instructions in English
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL FACTORS:
Able to work in an environment containing nuts, peanuts, dairy, grains and other allergens.
This job operates in a clerical office setting, as well as food production and warehouse environments with a stairway.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with occasional off-hours work requirements, including very occasional weekend or evening support in the event of production downtime related to IT that cannot be resolved by managed helpdesk support.
Position can include work-from-home days.
